The grapes were picked in early March when fruit was ripe and flavours were fully developed. In the winery the fruit was de-stemmed and wild fermented in open-top vessels with gentle plunging. This wine was matured in old oak barrels and stainless steel before being bottled in May 2016. A stelvin closure is used to seal the wine.
Rich, ripe concentrated fruit with a plummy, blackcurrant flavour. A well-balanced wine with soft round tannins results in a Shiraz that’s ready for drinking now.
