Separate parcels of fruit were handpicked, de-stemmed, and fermented in small open fermenters using indigenous yeasts and gentle plunging. After pressing to barrel, the wine was allowed to undergo a natural malolactic fermentation in spring and was bottled using the taint free DIAM technical cork. The best barrels of wine are selected for the Kennedy Label Colour: Bright purple red. Nose: Fragrant cherry and summer berries, brown spices and subtle oak notes.
Palate: Structured and even, with flavours of berry fruits, red currant and cherry on the front palate which integrate perfectly with a gentle spicy mid palate. The fine grained tannins and smart acidity extend the elegant flavours through to the finish. |
